It's safe to say I have become obsessed with tarot mandalas. There is something that makes a spread in this format so much more insightful, deep, and meditative for me. Not only the reading part, but setting it up, designing it, and then sitting and contemplating it has taken me to a whole new level in my tarot practice. There are many ways you can do a mandala with tarot. You can do blind draws on a general question or no question, you can hand select cards for meditation and lay them out, or you can assign positions like a more traditional spread, which is what I did here. I wanted to do a general check in with the different areas of my life and see what came up. Whoa nelly was it a powerful reading! This brought up some deeeeep stuff!! So of course I had to share so you could try it yourself!
Here are the spread positions:
Just in case you can't read my late night scrawls ;) ...
1. Core card (where you are now)
3. Mind/Mental Health
4. Emotions or relationships
6. Coming energies
7. Lesson/Opportunities for growth
9. General advice
You can obviously change any of these to fit your needs.. for instance spirituality could become creativity or career. I also read the shadow/subconscious card in a more reversed manner (since I didn't use reversals here, it felt appropriate).
This could be a great spread for the new moon this week to check in and help you to formulate your intentions for the coming moon cycle! I hope you enjoy and if you would like to have me do this spread for you, you can purchase the Insight Reading in my shop and write "Mandala" in the comments. :D Happy taroting!!
